Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, Author, Speaker
After a handful of Deans requested that I remove myself from their University campuses, I set out to explore this great planet and to learn about the people I share it with. I have had the great opportunity to observe how people of different cultures approach similar personal issues regarding what they struggle with, what they are passionate about and the choices they make in service for, and against, what they hold most dear. It's interesting that as different as we all may seem, in some aspects we are all so much the same.
Having retired at age 30 (not as glamorous as it sounds) I spent a number of years occupying myself in a variety of ways until one day, midway through a simple conversation with a friend who was struggling at work, she exclaimed: "Marcus, you would be a GREAT Lifecoach!" to which I responded: "What's that?!". After a few months of reading books about coaching and researching coaching models and schools, I came across Coaches Training Institute and felt instantly connected.
My training through CTI introduced me to the model of Co-Active Coaching nearly a decade ago. It is a collaborative relationship between coach and client that is judgement-free, highly empowering and can yield life changing results. The training was interactive and required me to not only be a student but spend a year using the principles in my own life. Having personally experienced the transformative power of Co-Active Coaching I look forward to sharing it with you.
